"Last of the Pocket Mausers" Eagle/655 Army-Accepted Model 1934

Price:

2600$

Discription:

Exceptional Mauser Model 1934 Army-Accepted Pistol bearing the coveted Eagle/655 Waffenamt inspection mark. Manufactured during the early years of the Second World War, this scarce military-contract pistol represents one of the final iterations of Mauser's classic pocket pistol line before production transitioned to the HSc. Combining pre-war Mauser craftsmanship with official Wehrmacht acceptance, the Eagle/655 Model 1934 occupies a special place among advanced German military pistol collections. The Mauser Model 1934 with Eagle/655 acceptance is one of the most desirable military-contract versions of the Model 1934. Unlike standard commercial pistols, these were procured by the German Army in limited numbers during 1940–1941 and marked with the Army Waffenamt Eagle/655 acceptance stamp. Collectors estimate that only about 8,000 Army-accepted Eagle/655 Model 1934s were acquired, making them significantly scarcer than ordinary commercial production pistols.Featuring the distinctive Eagle/655 acceptance on the frame, original military finish, and classic 7.65mm Browning chambering, these pistols were issued as officer and administrative sidearms during the early war period. Surviving examples with matching parts and strong original finish are increasingly difficult to locate.
