"The Veteran of the Wehrmacht" – 1937 Mauser S/42 P.08 Complete Rig

Price:

5700$

Discription:

An outstanding 1937 Mauser S/42 P.08 Luger preserved in approximately 97% original condition and accompanied by its complete wartime rig. Produced during the golden age of Mauser military Luger manufacture, the 1937 S/42 is widely regarded as one of the finest wartime P.08 variations, exhibiting superior machining, deep rust-blue finish, strawed small parts, and the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of pre-war production.
Unlike later wartime examples, the 1937 S/42 was manufactured before wartime expediency measures affected production quality. As a result, these pistols display the elegant fit, finish, and attention to detail that have made pre-war Mauser Lugers highly sought after by advanced collectors. Complete rigs remain especially desirable, offering a tangible connection to the German soldier's sidearm ensemble of the early Second World War.
This example is accompanied by its original holster and accessories, enhancing both historical significance and collector appeal. While the magazines are not matching to the pistol, the rig remains an exceptionally attractive and highly collectible wartime ensemble. The outstanding 97% preservation elevates the pistol well above the majority of surviving military Lugers encountered today.
