Price:

6500$

Discription:

An extraordinary early commercial DWM American Eagle Luger presented in true museum-grade preservation Serial No. 14062, this 1902 American Eagle Luger represents one of the finest surviving examples of the legendary pre-war Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken export pistols produced for the American market. Bearing serial number 14062, this elegant pistol exemplifies the craftsmanship, precision machining, and refined rust-blue finish that established the Luger as the most iconic sidearm of the early twentieth century.
Manufactured during the highly desirable first commercial era, the pistol features the classic deeply struck American Eagle chamber crest above the barrel, a hallmark reserved for the prestigious U.S. commercial export contracts. The original rust-blue finish remains exceptionally vivid and mirror-like, complemented by brilliantly fire-blued small parts and sharply defined straw-colored components. All visible markings, proofs, and serial numbers remain razor crisp with virtually no observable handling wear.
The pistol retains its original finely checkered walnut grips with outstanding figure and sharp diamonds, exhibiting none of the flattening or oil saturation commonly encountered on surviving examples. Mechanical condition is equally exceptional, with a strong bore, precision toggle action, and immaculate internal surfaces reflecting minimal use since leaving the DWM factory over a century ago.
Early 1902 American Eagle Lugers occupy a special position among advanced collectors due to their limited production, historical connection to the U.S. commercial trials era, and superior pre-war workmanship. Museum-grade specimens with untouched finish and matching condition throughout are exceptionally scarce and seldom encountered on the open market.
A centerpiece-quality collector investment, this pistol would stand proudly among the finest examples in any advanced Luger collection, institutional display, or historical arms archive.
