Price:
3300$
Discription:
Offering a Nazi German Mauser 1934 Pistol, marked by the Third Reich Kriegsmarines as property of the North Sea Fleet, circa 1940. Model 1934 was the final improvement on the Mauser Model 1910, which was a pocket-sized semi-automatic pistol in .25 ACP. With the Model 1914, the scale of the pistol was increased to handle .32 ACP, and features like a cocking indicator, button release safety, and a mechanism by which the slide would go into battery with the insertion of the magazine were added. The Model 1934 was much the same and had one piece wood grips. This specimen is marked with the stick winged eagle over a swastika over an M, denoting its acquisition by the Nazi German Navy. These markings are quite scarce and very desirable to collectors. The left side of the slide is marked with the full serial number and “MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N.” The right side is marked “Cal. 7.65 D.R.P.u.A.P.” The right side of the frame has the Mauser logo along with the Kriegsmarine mark. The barrel and the back of the frame bear the last three digits of the serial number, which are matching. The overall condition of the pistol is very fine. The original blue finish is 950%. The markings are clear and legible. Serial numbers match. The magazine is marked “N/7648”, denoting its issuance to the North Sea Fleet. The grips and bore are in fine condition. The action is excellent.
