Ultra-Rare Walther HP Military-Accepted Complete Rig with Brown Holster – Probable Luftwaffe Issue
Price:
4500$
Discription:
An exceptionally scarce and historically significant Walther HP (Heerespistole) Military-Accepted Rig, representing the direct predecessor to the legendary P.38 service pistol. Manufactured by Carl Walther prior to full P.38 standardization, the HP was the original commercial and military development model from which the P.38 evolved. Military-accepted examples bearing German acceptance markings are among the rarest and most desirable variants in the entire P.38 collecting field.
This outstanding rig consists of a military-accepted Walther HP pistol, original brown leather military holster, and correct wartime magazine. Unlike later wartime P.38 production, the HP exhibits the superb pre-war Walther polish and machining quality for which the Zella-Mehlis factory was renowned. Surviving military-accepted HP pistols with original brown holsters are seldom encountered and are highly prized by advanced collectors of early German military sidearms.
Examples bearing Eagle/359 acceptance marks are frequently associated with early German military procurement and are often encountered in Luftwaffe collections. While definitive Luftwaffe attribution requires examination of acceptance marks, serial range, and holster characteristics, military-accepted HP pistols accompanied by brown Luftwaffe-style holsters are widely regarded as among the most desirable pre-P.38 rigs in existence.
